Our Bound Liberation: Conversations in the time of Decolonization - Episode 1.03 - Marcia Lee
"Treating Yourself As Your Own True Love"
In this episode of Our Bound Liberation, we are joined by Marcia Lee. We discuss asking the right questions, what it means to be our own one true love, what it means to connect, and more.
Marcia Lee is committed to finding joy in small things; to listening with her heart, body, spirit, and mind; asking life giving questions; and ending oppression, racism, and injustice. Her people are from Taiwan and she lives with the land of the people of the Three Fires, the Anishinaabe. The city where she lives is Waawiiyatanong, currently known as Detroit, MI, USA.
Her prayer is to live in right relationship with the earth, neighbors, and herself. She does this very imperfectly and with a lot of gratitude towards those who choose to walk with her on this life's journey. Some of her teachers are: the Detroit River, the maple in front of her house, Grace Lee Boggs, Carol Yamasaki, Michi Sawyer Lee, Meiko Sawyer Lee, Ye-Fu Lee, en sawyer, Valerie Brown, and Schantell Taylor.
Her work is to be a mother, healing centered leadership coach, friend, Courage and Renewal retreat leader, wife, tai chi teacher, daughter, popular education facilitator, sister, and Taproot Sanctuary space holder. You can find her with her husband, en sawyer, at www.taprootsanctuary.org or on socials at taprootsanctuary.
